Grizzly Bear

Did You Know?

The most distinguishing physical feature of a Grizzly Bear is the prominent muscle hump on its shoulders. This isn't just for show; it is a massive mound of muscle that powers their front legs for digging up roots, tearing apart rotten logs for insects, and excavating dens. Despite their heavy build and the "lumbering" way they walk, Grizzlies are incredibly fast, capable of reaching speeds of up to 35 mph (56 km/h) in a sprint—faster than an Olympic sprinter!
